If you’re a Medical Assistant who enjoys both clinical work and patient interaction, this is a rewarding opportunity to be part of a community-focused healthcare team. You’ll play a key role in supporting reproductive health services while also assisting patients with forms, resources, and access to care. This position offers hands-on clinical experience in a supportive outpatient setting — without hospital bedside demands.

Responsibilities
  • Provide welcoming, front-line support to clients and assist with applications, documentation, and required forms
  • Review medical and administrative documents for accuracy and completeness
  • Maintain and update patient records in accordance with clinic policies and HIPAA standards
  • Answer and route incoming calls and provide general program information
  • Perform basic cashiering and payment processing duties following County procedures
  • Provide educational materials and assist clients during intake and pre-screening processes
  • Obtain and record vital signs
  • Perform reproductive health testing under provider direction, including:
  • Pregnancy testing
  • HIV, syphilis, chlamydia, and gonorrhea testing
  • Room patients and assist providers during examinations and clinical procedures
  • Help connect patients with additional healthcare services and community resources
  • Support clinic flow and daily operations to ensure a positive patient experience
Qualifications
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or active MA certification
  • Experience in a clinical, outpatient, or public health setting preferred
Required Skills
  • Comfortable with patient intake, basic testing, and clinical support tasks
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
  • Organized, adaptable, and team-oriented

Pay range and compensation package

Hourly Rate: $20-22 (based on experience)
