The Tech Support Technician is responsible to answer help desk calls for general tech assistance, using the Maricopa Help Desk (MHD) ticketing system. This position is also responsible to set-up and assist with live events on campus. This position is also responsible to operate and troubleshoot classroom media systems. This position must be able to install and trouble shoot basic IT issues for both Windows and Mac computers and peripherals.
A high standard of customer support must be maintained at all times
Essential Functions
30% - Respond to service calls and help desk tickets; install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows and Mac computer hardware, software, and peripherals while maintaining strong customer service.
25% - Use the MHD ticketing system to log, track, and document all support activities. Communicate status updates and resolutions clearly and professionally.
20% - Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot classroom media and instructional technology systems to ensure reliable support for teaching and learning environments.
20% - Set up, operate, and support audio/visual and technology needs for live events on campus, including presentations, meetings, and special events.
5% - Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support departmental operations and institutional goals.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED and one year of experience with desktop user support or technical support for equipment, networks, systems, telecommunications, or technology security,
appropriate to assignment.

An equivalent combination of the conferred degree, education, certification and directly related full-time work experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential
duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered.
