Business Systems Analyst – Contract Opportunity (Onsite, Glendale, AZ)

Our client, a local government agency, is seeking a Business Systems Analyst (contractor) to support IT policy and project initiatives. This is a 2-month W2 contract with a potential extension based on project needs. The position is onsite in Glendale, AZ, and offers an hourly rate of $38.00–$49.00 (DOE).
C2C and visa sponsorship (including H1B) are not available.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research IT policies and partner with subject matter experts to draft, revise, and finalize clear, compliant policy documents.
  • Develop and maintain models, use cases, process flows, diagrams, specifications, and charts to guide IT teams and vendors.
  • Organize and manage technical documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and accessibility.
  • Create and update training materials in support of IT policies and initiatives.
  • Participate in requirements-gathering sessions to define business needs, specifications, and process improvements.
  • Evaluate system compatibility and interoperability across platforms and technologies.
  • Research technology solutions and services to support procurement, prepare recommendations, and justify IT investments.
  • Identify existing organizational solutions or recommend new alternatives as appropriate.
  • Prepare cost estimates, cost-benefit analyses, project justifications, and business cases for funding approval.
  • Provide comprehensive documentation and analysis to support IT initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience supporting IT projects and initiatives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
