Job Summary

This position assists in providing instruction and hands‑on learning experiences in Engineering and related instructional areas. Responsibilities include organizing, demonstrating, repairing, and maintaining shop equipment (power equipment, woodworking tools), computers, and materials used in lectures and workshop settings. The role assists in developing training aids and instructional materials, prepares lab set‑ups, and provides support during lab sessions by responding to student inquiries and ensuring a safe, productive learning environment.

The position also leads and monitors students in the proper use, preparation, and cleaning of shop equipment, while maintaining inventories, equipment records, and supply needs. Additional duties include performing equipment installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting; monitoring equipment storage and operation; coordinating vendor communications; analyzing supply requirements; and preparing reports to support program operations.

  • 25% Instructional Support & Student Assistance – Supports teaching activities by assisting with instruction, training, advisement, lab demonstrations, and responding to student inquiries.
