GIS Analyst needed in the Greater Phoenix area. (Please note we are only seeking local candidates to the Greater Phoenix area)

We are seeking a skilled GIS Analyst to design, develop, maintain, and enhance enterprise Geographic Information System (GIS) applications and databases that support critical business operations.

This role is ideal for a GIS professional with experience in ESRI ArcGIS technologies, enterprise geodatabases, application development, and spatial data analysis. The successful candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and end users to develop innovative GIS solutions that improve operational efficiency and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

GIS Application Development

Design, develop, implement, and maintain enterprise GIS applications
Research and evaluate requests for new GIS functionality and system enhancements
Gather business requirements through stakeholder interviews and needs assessments
Develop GIS solutions using established standards and best practices

GIS Data & Database Management

Maintain and update enterprise GIS databases and geodatabases
Support legacy database integration and migration efforts
Develop SQL queries and manage spatial data relationships
Monitor application performance and ensure data integrity

Technical Support & Administration

Provide technical support and troubleshooting for GIS applications
Develop and maintain GIS system documentation, architecture, and user guides
Implement and monitor application security and performance metrics
Work closely with business stakeholders, consultants, and vendors to deliver GIS solutions
Provide training and technical guidance to end users
Create documentation, support materials, and training resources
Assist with project planning, scheduling, and prioritization

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Geography, GIS, or a related field
Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered
Minimum 2 years of experience supporting ESRI GIS technologies

Experience with :

ESRI ArcGIS Desktop
ArcGIS Server
Strong understanding of database structures and SQL
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise
Knowledge of GIS application security and performance optimization
Experience integrating GIS with enterprise business systems
Familiarity with GUI/User Interface design
Experience with statistical analysis and data visualization
