Job Description
Sr Procurement Buyer at Honeywell Aerospace responsible for overseeing and directing procurement and purchasing activities at a strategic level. The role ensures efficient procurement processes, cost‑effectiveness, and strategic alignment. The incumbent reports to the Sr. Director of Procurement and works from Glendale, AZ or Clearwater, FL on a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities- Work closely with Integrated Program Teams, Sourcing Program Managers, and other stakeholders to ensure program needs are met.
- Monitor and control purchasing costs, seeking savings opportunities, negotiating favorable terms, and optimizing resource allocation.
- Foster and maintain relationships with suppliers, addressing concerns, resolving issues, and collaborating on improvements.
- Ensure all purchasing activities adhere to regulations, compliance standards, and internal policies with accurate records.
- Contribute to establishing and enforcing quality control standards in purchasing processes.
- Participate in implementing sourcing strategies, identifying opportunities for supplier diversity, sustainability, and innovation.
- Leverage technology solutions, such as procurement software and analytics, to enhance purchasing processes, monitoring, and reporting.
- 3+ years of experience in procurement or related business fields.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Proven track record managing large‑scale procurement operations.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Experience with U.S. Government contracting (FAR, DFARs, FAR
15). - Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
- Strategic thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to drive change and lead cross‑functional teams.
- Strong analytical and data‑driven mindset.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
