Critical Facilities Technician

Description

Robert Half is currently seeking Critical Facilities Technicians to support data center clients with the operation and maintenance of mission-critical facility infrastructure.

Responsibilities

+ Monitor and maintain critical electrical and mechanical systems

+ Support UPS systems, generators, switch gear, PDUs, HVAC, and cooling systems

+ Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance

+ Respond to alarms and facility-related incidents

+ Assist with equipment testing, maintenance, and vendor coordination

+ Document operating conditions, incidents, and maintenance activities

+ Follow established safety procedures and escalation protocols

+ Support 24/7 data center operations as needed

Requirements

Qualifications

+ Experience in critical facilities, data centers, commercial facilities, electrical, HVAC, or mechanical environments

+ Familiarity with UPS, generators, electrical distribution, HVAC, or cooling systems

+ Ability to interpret technical documentation and operating procedures

+ Strong troubleshooting and communication skills

+ Willingness to work shifts, weekends, or on-call schedules when required
