Shipping Manager - Second Shift

Shipping Manager - 2nd shift, Glendale Arizona

Conair LLC is looking for a Shipping Manager to manage the day to day operations of a high volume distribution facility. Conair is a highly regarded, privately owned multinational corporation with product lines in personal and professional grooming, health and beauty, as well as, premium kitchen electrics and cookware. Conair products currently sell in 100 countries on five out of seven continents.

• Manage the daily performance and production of 70+ associates while adhering to strict quality and safety standards.
• Meet and/or exceed volume and department productivity goals while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Analyze data and resources to identify operational inefficiencies while developing improvement strategies.
• Maintain & continuously improve cost-efficiency and department performance.
• Actively coach, counsel, challenge and inspire staff to facilitate growth and development.
• Establish and maintain collaborative relationships across all levels of the company in order to implement strategic solutions.
• Foster and reinforce a positive, collaborative environment that respects and values diversity.
• Troubleshoot and take corrective action on operational issues to maintain operational and customer service standards.
• Ensure all associates are properly trained in job duties, equipment, safety, and applicable systems.
• Create an atmosphere in which open communication and teamwork is encouraged.
• Provide positive motivation to associates so they may be able to achieve department goals.

• 7+ years of Distribution Center management experience in a high volume, multi shift, distribution environment.
• Bachelor’s degree or suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Previous experience with Warehouse Management Systems (preferably Manhattan and/or SAP).
• Experience with conveyors and sortation systems is preferred.
• Must be a self-motivated quick learner who can execute effectively on multiple tasks and initiatives.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills (written and oral) a must.
• Possess strong analytical skills.
• Able to work effectively as part of a leadership team.
