The Chief Operating Officer (COO) reports directly to the President and CEO and serves as a trusted advisor, partnering to advance Credit Union West’s mission, vision, and strategic priorities. The COO supports the CEO in defining the organization’s vision and values, translating enterprise-wide strategies into actionable initiatives, and fostering innovation, continuous improvement, and organizational alignment.

This collaborative, hands‑on leader exemplifies servant leadership, fostering a positive, inclusive culture where employees feel valued, respected, and empowered. The COO provides coaching and mentorship to strengthen leadership depth, enhance engagement, and ensure the organization remains an employer of choice.

The COO provides visionary oversight of business services, marketing, community development, and retail delivery, driving operational excellence, innovation, and initiatives that support growth, financial stability, and community impact. This individual will establish policies and processes that ensure consistent, cost‑effective, and compliant operations, while collaborating across functions to achieve goals in sales, service, operational controls, and budgets.

Focused on member experience, the COO champions the credit union’s sales and service culture, leveraging data‑driven insights to evolve products and services, enhance financial well‑being, and expand memberships, deposits, loans, and member relationships. Additionally, the COO oversees financial stability, risk management, and corporate sustainability, while supporting the CEO in operationalizing the Board’s vision and ensuring regulatory compliance.
