We're hiring an Area Manager of Construction Materials to manage large-scale operations, lead a diverse team, and drive strategic execution across multiple projects. • Lead and oversee operations across multiple plants and facilities within the assigned geographic area to ensure safety, efficiency, and profitability.
• Recruit, develop, coach, and retain high-performing employees while overseeing hiring, promotions, performance management, and corrective actions.
• Ensure all employees maintain required training, certifications, and compliance standards.
• Provide leadership, direction, and support to Plant Managers and Materials Sales Representatives to achieve operational and sales objectives.
• Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to meet profitability targets.
• Directly accountable for the overall financial performance and results of the assigned area, including achieving revenue, profitability, expense management, and operational performance goals.
• Monitor and analyze operational, production, sales, and financial performance metrics, implementing strategies for continuous improvement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, contractors, and industry partners.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow market share and secure major contracts.
• Partner with Plant Managers to review cost controls, revenue performance, and operational efficiencies.
• Oversee account receivable activities, including collections efforts and coordination with credit management on delinquent accounts.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety standards, environmental regulations, and applicable laws.
• Maintain a valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
• Lead special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor of Science degree in construction management or related field.
• Ten years of progressive experience in construction environment.
• Exceptional interpersonal, problem solving, and technical skills.
• Ability to review and analyze financial information.
• Strategic thinking skills.
• Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and department of transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook skills.
• Literate in Heavy Construction Systems Specialists (HCSS), Heavy Bid, and BCMI.
