Role Overview
The City of Glendale's Water Services Department provides high-quality water and wastewater services to over 250,000 residents and promotes industry best practices, leadership, and innovation. The Water Services Deputy Director will assist the Director in planning, organizing, coordinating, and managing the department, including water treatment, wastewater treatment, SCADA systems, asset management, infrastructure reliability, and the capital improvement program. The Deputy Director is expected to demonstrate strategic thinking, sound judgment, and the ability to lead a complex utility system in a fast‑paced, service‑oriented environment.
They will inspire confidence, build strong relationships, and balance operational demands with long‑term planning to ensure reliable, high‑quality services for Glendale citizens.
FLSA Exempt. Effective June 27, 2026, the position is Grade 421 with an annual salary ranging from $ to $.
