Position DescriptionResponsible for overseeing Retail Donation Center operations for Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona and its affiliated entities. This role leads daily operations, drives business results, strengths donor loyalty through an exceptional donation experience, supports community and business partnerships, and develops high-performing teams through effective leadership, training, and performance management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Makes day-to-day operational decisions within the assigned area of responsibility and adjusts plans as needed to meet business goals.
- Ensures donors receive excellent service and a consistent, positive experience across all assigned operations.
- Travels between locations as needed to support business needs, maintain internal and external partnerships, and ensure effective execution of donor and operational programs.
- Ensures locations are adequately staffed and that Team Members are trained, mentored, and equipped to perform their duties in accordance with company standards and procedures.
- Maintains day-to-day RDC operations, including meeting Team Member and donor needs, coverage for each site, premises maintenance, product management, loss prevention, and overall operational standards.
- Ensures assigned locations are clean, well-kept, safe, secure, and reflective of the Goodwill brand.
- Oversees payroll and operating costs align with budget expectations.
- Drives process improvement and cost-savings initiatives by evaluating current processes, identifying best practices, implementing improvements, and supporting tools, systems, and automation.
- Works to de-escalate customer situations and resolve issues appropriately, involving upper management when needed.
- Collaborates with Transportation and other internal departments including Retail, Home Pickup, Finance, HR, and Learning & Development to support department goals and mission execution.
- Responsible for performance management, including coaching, discipline, performance improvement plans, annual reviews, staffing, compensation, and Team Member development.
- Plays a critical role in company culture change efforts and change management processes.
- Maintains regular and consistent in-person attendance.

- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
- 5+ years of related experience
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to speak and read English proficiently
- Strong work ethic with good attention to detail as well as ability to be self-motivated and take initiative
- Solution oriented and decisive by nature
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Valid drivers’ license and clean MVR
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position
