Your ImpactAs an Automation Technician IV, you will serve as a senior technical leader within the automation support team. You will lead advanced troubleshooting efforts, mentor junior technicians, drive large-scale equipment improvements, and collaborate cross‑functionally to support high‑volume automated manufacturing processes. You will play a key role in developing technical standards, evaluating new automation technology, and ensuring system performance at scale.

- Lead complex equipment diagnostics and resolve high‑impact automation issues
- Own system‑level troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and software domains
- Develop, implement, and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Mentor and train lower‑level technicians and production operators on automation best practices
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and R&D to support new equipment installation and qualification
- Design and improve test procedures to ensure product and process quality at scale
- Serve as technical liaison for automation projects involving external vendors and internal stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment uptime, cycle time, and reliability
- Champion documentation standards including technical drawings, training protocols, and troubleshooting guides
- Support the integration and optimization of PLCs, vision systems, and robotic cells
- Interpret advanced schematics and execute electrical or mechanical modifications when needed
- Lead root cause analysis efforts for recurring technical issues
- Promote a strong safety culture and compliance with operational best practices
- GED, High School Diploma, or Associate's degree in engineering, automation, or related technical discipline
- 8+ years hands‑on experience in automated manufacturing systems
- Proven expertise with industrial control systems, including PLC programming (Allen‑Bradley preferred)
- Strong proficiency with machine vision systems and robotic automation platforms
- Solid understanding of manufacturing execution systems (MES) and industrial networking
- Experience with Solid Works and CAD software for tooling design and documentation
- Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and failure mode analysis (FMEA)
- Demonstrated leadership experience in cross‑functional technical teams
- Ability to read and interpret advanced schematics, blueprints, and electrical diagrams
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and a proactive mindset toward continuous improvement
- Strong communication skills and ability to lead technical training sessions
