Role Description The Laser Operator is a full-time, on-site role located in Glendale, AZ. This position is responsible for operating and monitoring laser cutting machines to produce precision sheet metal components according to specifications and production schedules. Day-to-day tasks include setting up machines, loading materials, adjusting settings, and performing routine inspections to ensure accurate cuts and efficient operation. The Laser Operator will interpret technical drawings, follow work orders, and collaborate with fabrication and welding teams to maintain workflow.

The role also involves basic preventive maintenance, reporting equipment issues, and following all safety and quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in machine operation, including setup, safe use, and routine maintenance of production equipment.
• Hands-on experience with laser cutting and laser systems, including adjusting parameters to meet material and design requirements.
• Strong quality control skills, including inspection of parts, measurement verification, and adherence to specifications and tolerances.
• Understanding of basic operations management principles such as workflow, prioritization, and meeting production targets.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions.
• Commitment to workplace safety, including use of PPE and compliance with company safety policies.
• Attention to detail, reliable time management, and ability to work in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Previous experience in metal fabrication or manufacturing preferred; vocational training or certification in machining or industrial technology is a plus.
