Position: 26 Arizona Serve VISTA - Habitat Volunteer Coordinator

Volunteer Management Specialist Overview

The Volunteer Management Specialist would create systems to support all aspects of the volunteer lifecycle at Habitat for Humanity Tucson. The member will create capacity to expand the reach of the program and engage more individuals in Habitat's mission.

Member Duties

The member will create and streamline systems across all aspects of the volunteer cycle.

  • Volunteer Recruitment: design systems to expand volunteer recruitment, ensuring reach to a wide audience across Tucson with a special focus on corporate volunteer groups. Design a system to increase the ease of scheduling volunteers for construction, office, Habi Store, and CHUCK Center services.
  • Volunteer Management: ensure a robust and standardized volunteer orientation by reviewing current practices and making suggestions to relevant staff. Create a database for volunteer tracking and follow-up with a goal of increasing returning volunteers and engagement. Review and revise volunteer recruitment, management, and recognition tools.
  • Event Coordination: design systems to ensure relevant tracking and safety compliance for events, especially build days.
