Bring your passion for Behavioral Health to Banner Thunderbird Medical Center! This role will care for a wide range of different mental health diagnoses that require an extra level of acute medical care. Nurses who enjoy working with children and adults will succeed in this role.

Thunderbird Behavioral Health RN
- Registered Nurses provide 24/7 crisis intervention and therapeutic services in a medically safe, recovery-focused environment. Our focus is on children and adults dealing with mental health and/or chemical dependence issues who voluntarily seek help.

Ideal RN candidate has 1 year of experience in Behavioral Health.

There is a Part-time (2, 12s) & Full-time (3,12s) Day Shift posions available.

The hours will be from 7:00am - 7:30pm for 2 or 3 shifts per week, which will include weekends and holidays on a rotating basis. You will have the opportunity utilize our self-scheduling tool for shift and weekend coverage. Enjoy a flat rate $3/hour weekend shift differential!

POSITION SUMMARY This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards of professional nursing practice utilizing the framework for professional nursing practice and development. This position is accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by self or others who are under their direction. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients.

CORE FUNCTIONS
1. Assesses patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs. Reviews patient history and physical with patient/family and assures completion within appropriate timeframe. Reviews available information obtained by other health care team members. Reviews diagnostics and laboratory data and reports abnormal results to the physician(s) and other appropriate caregivers. Completes assessment and reassessments according to patient need and as outlined in policy.
