Nurse Practitioner – Thunderbird Area

Arizona Kidney Disease and Hypertension Center (AKDHC) has provided care for patients with renal disease in the Phoenix Metropolitan area and across Arizona since 1976. It is a professional medical association consisting of physicians and other support staff.

• Collaborate with AKDHC physicians and dialysis staff to complete and document dialysis visits, addressing medical issues promptly.
• Provide chronic kidney disease care in office settings and coordinate treatment plans with physicians.
• Support care transitions, including annual physicals and post-hospital discharge planning.
• Deliver care across settings (rehab, SNF, office, or on call), including diagnostic evaluations and treatment planning.
• Prescribe or recommend appropriate therapies and maintain professional, respectful conduct in all interactions.

• Master’s degree in nursing or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience (4-10 years).
• Current Arizona RN license and Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with ICD-9 and CPT coding.
• Solid interpersonal skills, flexible schedule availability, and reliable transportation for travel between sites.
