As a
** Lactation Consultant RN at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center
** you will be rounding on patients in L&D, Postpartum, and the NICU to assist with breastfeeding and will provide education about breastfeeding, latching, and pumping to both patients and staff. This role includes developing feeding plans and collaborating with pediatricians and speech therapy.
** Current IBCLC Certification is required for this role
** This is a
** full time EVENING
** position from 2PM - 12AM. You will also have the opportunity utilize our self-scheduling tool for shift and weekend coverage.  Enjoy 18% night shift differential and a flat rate $3/hour weekend shift differential.

POSITION SUMMARY  This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and in accordance with standards for professional practice and certification. The position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and nursing skills necessary to assess data and plan, provide and evaluate care appropriate to the physical and developmental age of assigned patients. This position delivers lactation education and provides individualized direct patient and family education.

Works in coordination with staff to select and deliver current patient education materials based on identified needs. Provides community and staff education in the specialty area of lactation. Acts as subject matter expert for patients and staff.
