This ASC can be adaptable to all specialties and offers 7 operating rooms, 8 Preop bays and 18 PACU Bays.

The Pre-Assessment Testing Nurse provides the highest level of patient care and will help guide patients through our pre-assessment process as they prepare for surgery. The Pre-Assessment Testing Nurse must have excellent communication skills as they will be working closely with patients, physicians, physician office staff, and other staff members throughout the surgery center. The Pre-Assessment Testing Nurse is expected to have a high level of comfort working in a fast‑paced, changing environment while managing multiple priorities.
ESSENTIALFUNCTIONS
- Ensures all needed documents/tests are present on charts one to three days prior to the scheduled procedure while taking appropriate action to prevent delays and ensure the safest patient care on the day of surgery.
- Obtains a full patient health assessment and completes a medication reconciliation.
- Follows the admission criteria as set forth by the Medical Director and organization.
- Ensures BMI guidelines are being followed.
- Assists patients with completing a pre-assessment module in Passport one to three days prior to the date of surgery.
- Maintains PAT files on all outpatient surgeries.
- Functions as a liaison between all members of the health care team internally and externally to ensure coordination of high-quality patient care.
- Provides nursing care in the pre‑op department as directed by medical staff and in accordance with PAT Nurse protocol and organizational company objectives and policies.
- Possesses strong leadership and critical thinking skills.
- May provide general support to the surgery center, including greeting and assisting patients, visitors, physicians, and ancillary personnel.
- Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards.
- Provides all customers with an excellent service experience by consistently demonstrating core and leadership behaviors each and every day.

NOTE:

- A current valid Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice is required.
- Current BLS and ACLS are required.
- Certification is required. Requires skills and abilities typically attained with at least 1 year of recent RN or LPN experience, preferably in an ambulatory setting.
- PALS certification required within 90 days of start date for ASC services pediatrics.
- A current valid Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice is required.
- Requires skills and abilities typically attained with at least 3–5 years of recent RN or LPN PAT experience, preferably in an ambulatory setting.
