Valley Perinatal Services is a physician-owned, multispecialty women’s health group serving communities across the Phoenix Valley. We are seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) to join our hospitalist team.
This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive, team-oriented environment alongside OB/GYN physicians, MFM specialists, and experienced nursing staff.
About the RoleThis position is primarily inpatient, focused on supporting patients during childbirth, triage evaluation, and postpartum care. CNMs work within a team-based model, helping ensure continuous, high-quality care in the hospital setting.
The schedule is shift-based, offering flexibility and work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities- Provide care to patients during childbirth
- Perform deliveries within scope of practice
- Evaluate and manage obstetric triage patients
- Provide postpartum care and patient education
- Collaborate with OB/GYN physicians and specialists on patient care plans
- Support hospital-based patient care needs
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Participate in quality and safety initiatives
Required:
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Midwifery program
- Active or eligible Arizona licensure
- DEA license (or ability to obtain)
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
Preferred:
- Experience in hospital-based women’s health care
- Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage acute situations
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment
