Veterinary Technician
We’re hiring a Veterinary Technician for our growing animal hospital.
Salary$20 – $30 per hour

- Assist the doctor with medical procedures, including surgery, under their direct supervision. Provide high‑quality care to all pets and demonstrate excellent customer service to clients.
- Deliver WOW customer service to clients and their pets.
- Under the supervision of the doctor, assist in surgery care relative to pre‑anesthetic protocol, anesthesia monitoring, and post‑operative care.
- Provide written and verbal communication to clients regarding their pet’s care, answer questions, educate them on treatments, and gain consent for treatment plans.
- Manage medical records through practice management software.
- Dispense medication, perform x‑rays, perform blood draws, place catheters, obtain samples, provide treatments, run diagnostic equipment, administer vaccines and provide animal restraint when necessary.
- Set‑up, breakdown, clean, and maintain medical equipment.
- Assist with cleaning all areas of the hospital.
- Comfortable interacting with furry, fuzzy, feathered, and scaly friends with calm and compassion.
- Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
- Able to lift at least 40 pounds.
- Certified veterinary technician (preferred).
- Associate degree in veterinary assisting (preferred).
