Job Summary3Z Brands is seeking a highly organized Soux Chef / Assistant Kitchen Manager who will support the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations within our mattress manufacturing facility. This role is hands‑on and people‑centered, helping ensure high-quality meals, smooth kitchen operations, and a positive experience for both employees and guests. The ideal candidate is bilingual (Spanish/English), experienced in a corporate kitchen environment, and passionate about customer service, teamwork, and leadership.
Responsibilities- Assist the Head Chef with daily kitchen operations and food preparation
- Support menu development with a focus on quality, consistency, and efficiency
- Oversee food preparation to ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance with food handling standards
- Help manage food ordering, inventory, and proper storage to minimize waste
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
- Provide friendly, respectful, and customer service–focused interactions with employees and guests
- Support and guide kitchen staff; foster a positive, employee-friendly work environment
- Step in to assist with kitchen management duties as needed in the Head Chef’s absence
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company policies
- High School Diploma or GED required; culinary arts degree or related post‑secondary education is preferred.
- 3+ years of progressive experience in a commercial kitchen, restaurant, or institutional food service environment.
- 1+ year of direct supervisory or team lead experience overseeing kitchen staff or associates.
- Current Food Handler’s Card or relevant food safety certification (e.g., Serv Safe Manager Certification) valid in Arizona.
- Excellent communication, time‑management, and leadership skills, with a positive, professional demeanor when interacting with both kitchen staff and company employees.
