Sales Consultant – La‑Z‑Boy Furniture Galleries

Broadway – Tucson, AZ

The basic function of the Sales Associate is to sell La‑Z‑Boy products and services. The role involves developing and using selling and customer service skills trained to meet and exceed company goals. All Sales Associates are responsible for achieving store sales goals and maintaining the trust and loyalty of all customers and team members while providing the highest level of customer service.

• Interact with customers appropriately and professionally by providing the highest level of customer service to all current and future customers.
• Drive sales to meet store sales goals by selling furniture, accessories, and services offered by La‑Z‑Boy.
• Complete all sales paperwork and customer service issues in a timely manner.
• Attend and participate in company training and store meetings.
• Assist in training, coaching and developing new peers on product knowledge and selling process/skills to achieve store sales goals.
• Accurately complete order information, collect deposits and fees, keep orderly customer records, and research customer payments and deliveries.
• Follow company procedures and policies, including policies against harassment, attendance, sales policies and customer interaction.
• Perform a minimum number of house calls to customer homes.
• Maintain a sales average consistent with company standards.

• High School diploma or GED.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate, build rapport, and positively influence customers.
• Vocational or technical training in a related field of study.
• Ability to bend, lift, and stand for long periods of time.
• Reliable transportation to drive to customer homes.

• Previous selling experience and ability to close a sale.
• Organizational and problem‑solving skills.
• Understanding and ability to use computer technology.

• Training Pay: $22.50 per hour for 2 weeks (no commission).
• After training:
  Base pay of $46,800 annually, with uncapped monthly commission ranging from 6% to 7.5% on individual written sales.
