Business Development – Santa Clarita, CA
Business Developer position to oversee a large territory in the San Fernando, Santa Clarita, Valencia, and Simi Valley areas. Candidates with hands‑on B2B selling experience in this territory are highly preferred. Competitive guaranteed base salary plus an uncapped commission plan on all new sales contracts.
Responsibilities- Develop long‑term relationships with current and prospective commercial property clients.
- Market Gothic’s landscape maintenance services using technical, organizational, and customer knowledge to add value to customers and their properties.
- Prospect clients and bid opportunities within our business markets by daily cold‑calling and walk‑ins.
- Attend industry trade shows and events to network and build relationships with clients and property managers.
- Organize and plan sales activities (daily and weekly) by reaching out to clients and property managers, scheduling appointments, client luncheons, and other events as needed; create your own book of business within the assigned territory by actively prospecting.
- Have an interactive role with the team during the proposal process to ensure profitability.
- Minimum of 3 years of B2B contract sales within the commercial facilities sector.
- Relationship builder accustomed to longer sales cycles.
- Excellent people skills, creative problem‑solving, oral and written communication skills.
- Proven track record in developing and closing targeted sales.
- Work flexible hours with the ability to attend sales events beyond normal business hours.
- Strategic and analytical skills and ability to think outside the box.
