Security Personnel

This position is Friday, Saturday and Sunday 6:00pm to 6:30am.

Under general supervision from the Supervisor of Security/Safety, the Security & Safety Guard leads a variety of duties with regard to maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors, and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel on the Glencroft campus. The incumbent will have a wide latitude for independent decisions and will exercise discretionary judgment. Must possess a genuine interest in and concern for geriatric, chronically ill, and/or disabled persons.

Must be able to fluently communicate in or to take or give direction or guidance in the English language

• Regular attendance is considered an essential function of this position and is necessary for the efficient operation of the business.
• Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points.
• Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; escort trespassers off campus.
• Maintains secure environment by performing scheduled lock up and unlocks of campus buildings.
• Assists residents in emergency situations, contacts EMS as required and allow EMS entry into residential units to access and assist residents.
• Completes all DAR logs and checklists.
• Submits all work order requests through the Worxhub and Web Help Desk
• Works with other Security & Safety staff, as well as all other staff, to properly monitor campus.
• Completes required Event Reports by thorough documentation through recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.
• Complies will all federal, state, and local standards and requirements.
• Required to support the command center and all other security and safety areas in the event of an emergency as requested.
