Field Service Technician and Driver

Job Purpose

The HVAC Field Service Technician and Driver is responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing HVAC systems, generators, and electrical equipment at various job sites. This role involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring equipment is in proper working condition. Additionally, the technician will safely transport and handle HVAC units and generators, communicate effectively with customers and team members, and maintain organized service records.

• Follow a consistent and regular schedule to perform various types of maintenance on HVAC equipment, generators and various pieces of electrical distribution, cable and transformers at the shop and job sites.
• Repair assorted HVAC, generators and electrical equipment as required to ensure proper operating condition at the job site.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC systems, fuel systems, electrical systems, hydraulic systems.
• Conduct oil changes, lubrication of equipment, tire replacements, hose repairs, battery replacements and assorted services.
• Charge and discharge HVAC unit’s refrigerant from various size units.
• Operate, test, diagnose, repair, install and teardown, spot coolers, packages HVAC systems, chiller systems, ducting, cable, and any electrical distribution or tools associated with the job.
• Be able to safely secure and transport Generators and HVAC units using any size Herc truck from a small pickup to a F750 stake bed.
• Must be able to communicate with Operations, Sales, and customers to ensure safe and efficient execution of all jobs.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with our customers.
• Clean, maintain and organize HVAC equipment, generators equipment and various pieces of machinery Loading/unloading of rental equipment.
• Prepping, de-prepping, organizing and storage of all equipment associated with job.
• Assist with service and maintenance record keeping.

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Valid Class
  
  C.
• Individual must have current and previous experience with HVAC, chillers, generators and electrical distribution.
• 5 years of HVAC and generator experience preferred.
• Must be able to tow trailers of various sizes.

• Available to work a variety of day, night, weekend and holiday shifts.
• Ability to handle assorted tools properly and safely.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds.
• Ability to operate large, heavy machinery.
• Ability to read and comprehend standard operating procedures, owner’s manuals, product/warning labels and electrical schematics.
• EPA certification preferred or willingness to obtain.

$30 - $34 per hour
