HVAC Install Lead

Scottsdale Air seeks an experienced HVAC Install Lead to oversee residential and light commercial installations in our Construction/Skilled Labor department. You will lead a small crew, perform full system change outs and new installs, read blueprints, set and braze line sets, start up and commission equipment, and ensure code compliant, high quality workmanship. Responsibilities include mentoring apprentices, coordinating with customers and builders, documenting jobs, and enforcing safety standards.

Strong diagnostics, communication skills, and clean, professional work habits are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise HVAC install crew on residential and light commercial projects
• Perform full system change outs and new equipment installations to code
• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and manufacturer specifications
• Lay out, set, and secure equipment, ductwork, and line sets
• Braise, solder, evacuate, and charge refrigeration systems
• Start up, test, and commission HVAC systems, documenting all readings
• Ensure jobsite safety and enforce company and OSHA standards
• Train and mentor apprentices and helpers to improve skills and efficiency
• Communicate with homeowners, GCs, and office staff on job progress
• Complete all required paperwork, photos, and change orders accurately
