JOB SUMMARY & FUNCTIONS

The Facilities Maintenance Associate provides diagnostic and repair services for manufacturing equipment, to include but not limited to Heat Treat ovens, Servo Presses, Test equipment, and all auxiliary equipment and facility related items found in a typical machine shop.

The purpose of this position is

To identify a Facility Maintenance Associate that can quickly learn how to troubleshoot new equipment and respond to urgent maintenance needs of any kind. They must possess good time management skills, allowing them to coordinate multiple maintenance tasks in the most efficient manner possible. They are also strong communicators that can interact with their immediate supervisor regarding the status of equipment.

This position includes significant duties such as:

• Knowledge of common OEM machine controllers
• Perform mechanical repairs on production machines, and any auxiliary equipment
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance production machinery
• Assist Lead Maintenance technicians as needed
• Basic understanding of low voltage schematics
• Basic understanding of pneumatic pumps and solenoids
• Identify and replace parts as necessary
• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machine tool equipment and controls
• Use machine tool manuals, technical documents, and internal and vendor resources to troubleshoot machine issues
• Basic understanding of rectifiers and heaters
• Troubleshoot hydraulics, electronics, and software, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
• Understanding of electrical wiring, hydraulics, and pneumatics & must be able to read schematics and parts drawings
• Utilize manual toolshop lathe, mill, and grinding equipment to fabricate repair parts as needed
• Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment
• Work based on a sense of urgency with machine down conditions
• Complete all maintenance related paperwork such as work order completion, lock out tagout forms, PM records, and material requisitions.
• Maintain safety and quality standards by using acceptable housekeeping practices on equipment and work area.
• Perform other essential duties as assigned by management
