Pay: $21–25 per hour, dependent on experience.
Description: At Mercy Housing, we are on a mission to redefine affordable, low-income housing and create a more humane world where communities thrive and all individuals can realize their full potential. As the largest nonprofit affordable housing provider in the nation, we build, preserve, and manage program-enriched housing across the country. The successful Resident Services Coordinator II will facilitate and implement core programs for residents.
The role includes collecting and recording data to measure program outcomes, identifying personal and community service needs, developing strategies to link residents with needed services, and building community partnerships that bring services and notice to the property. When other services are not available, the coordinator may deliver direct services. The Cascalote is an affordable housing community for seniors 62+, and this is an on‑site position.
Duties:
- Collect required data for designated program components and record it accurately and promptly in the Mercy Housing database.
- Maintain all reporting requirements set by funding and/or government agencies.
- Evaluate outcomes of programs and services on a regular basis as required.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of residents through needs assessments, community meetings, etc., to offer them opportunities to assist their community and guide them toward appropriate services and resources.
- Participate in and/or lead activities within Mercy Housing and in collaboration with partner agencies that build professional capacity and enhance working relationships.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications of Position:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Two (2) years of experience in community development, social services, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two (2) years experience working with individuals with mental health issues.
- Two (2) years working with senior and developmentally disabled populations.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
- Experience conducting community assessments, applying the principles of conflict management, and organizing community groups, events, or programs.
- Experience supervising staff.
Knowledge and
Skills:
- Work collaboratively with others in a team environment, respecting the perspectives and contributions of others.
- Demonstrate a high level of verbal, written, and listening skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Maintain confidentiality and obtain appropriate release of information as necessary.
- Ability to work with people with mental health, disability, substance abuse, legal, and financial issues.
