Pay Rate: $24.00 per hour
Schedule:
Monday - Friday; 10:00am-6:00pm
Flexibility for weekend availability to support clients and program
Job Summary:
The Program Supervisor provides day-to-day operational and staff leadership for the Faith House Emergency Shelter, ensuring safe, trauma-informed, participant-centered services are delivered in accordance with agency policies, licensing standards, contractual requirements, and best practices. This position supervises shelter staff, supports program operations, maintains compliance and documentation standards, responds to participant and facility needs, and partners with the Program Manager to promote a safe, effective, and supportive shelter environment for survivors of domestic violence.
Responsibilities:
- Model trauma-informed, participant-centered practices while maintaining professional boundaries and ethical standards.
- Complete participant intake, orientation, crisis intervention, safety planning, interim service plans, and lethality/basic needs assessments.
- Develop, implement, and update individualized FOCUS Plans in collaboration with participants.
- Maintain complete, accurate, and timely participant documentation, case files, and electronic records in accordance with agency, funding, licensing, and confidentiality requirements.
- Facilitate psycho educational and support groups or provide oversight and coaching to staff facilitating groups to ensure services are culturally responsive and participant-centered.
- Respond appropriately to participant crises, behavioral concerns, conflicts, and emergency situations using trauma-informed de-escalation techniques.
- Coordinate participant referrals, resource connections, discharge planning, and transition services.
- Provide day-to-day supervision, coaching, guidance, and technical support to assigned shelter staff.
- Participate in recruitment, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, transfers, corrective action, separations, and employee development in partnership with the Program Manager and Human Resources.
- Conduct program and facility orientation for new staff and ensure employees are trained on procedures, safety practices, confidentiality requirements, and professional standards.
- Complete employee performance evaluations, competencies, and required documentation within established time frames.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and promote accountability, teamwork, and quality participant services.
- Coordinate daily staffing and schedules to ensure appropriate coverage and continuity of shelter operations.
- Review and approve employee timecards, leave requests, status changes, transfer requests, and other personnel transactions accurately and timely.
- Monitor staff compliance with agency policies, licensing requirements, grant requirements, professional standards, mandatory training, and safety procedures.
- Support the Program Manager with participant intake, discharge planning, utilization management, operational planning, staffing coordination, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Meet regularly with the Program Manager to review program operations, staffing needs, participant concerns, operational priorities, and problem-solving strategies.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations, safety, security, cleanliness, and functionality of the shelter environment.
- Complete and submit required reports, statistics, incident reports, daily activity logs, administrative documentation, and other required program records accurately and within established deadlines.
- Review participant documentation to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with agency, contractual, licensing, and funding requirements.
