Leidos seeks a Child Military and Family Life Counselor to support military children and families in school and youth-centered settings. In this mission-driven role, you will provide confidential, non-medical counseling, individual and group interventions, and psycho educational workshops to help students cope with deployment, relocation, and reintegration stressors. You will partner closely with school staff, command leadership, and military family programs to identify at-risk youth, support crisis response, and connect families to resources.

Responsibilities

  • Provide non-medical counseling to military children and families in schools and youth programs
  • Conduct individual and group sessions addressing stress, deployment, and reintegration challenges
  • Develop and deliver psycho educational workshops and briefings for students, parents, and staff
  • Collaborate with school personnel, command leadership, and military family support services
  • Maintain confidential, accurate case notes and reporting in accordance with Do
  • D and Leidos standards
  • Identify at-risk children and families and escalate or refer to appropriate clinical or community resources
  • Support crisis response, risk assessments, and safety planning within program guidelines
  • Use secure digital tools and systems to manage schedules, documentation, and required reporting
  • Participate in training, supervision, and quality assurance activities to ensure program compliance
  • Promote awareness of counseling services through outreach and briefings to the military community
