The Foundation is a non‑profit organization that serves low‑income families in California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas through affordable housing and social service programs.

Working in the Community Services department, under the direction of the Regional Program Coordinator, the Community Service Coordinator implements and supervises the After School Program, Resident Services, and related activities to ensure their success and impact.

This entry‑level, part‑time role requires strong decision‑making, leadership, and skills in community planning and outreach. A passion for working with children and the ability to serve as a positive role model are essential, as you will inspire young minds and help guide their development. You will actively engage with residents, providing essential support and resources while building relationships that foster a connected and thriving community.

Key duties include resident outreach, program supervision, and collaboration with Property Management to develop partnerships and enhance resident services. As a vital link between residents and resources, you will help create a welcoming environment where children and families can grow and succeed.

Uphold Ethical Standards:
Maintain all ethical practices of the Foundation by serving the community with character, integrity, dignity, and professionalism.

Oversee and Implement the Si Se Puede Community Center Programs, including the After school Program and Resident Social Services, ensuring compliance with site requirements.

Review lesson plans, prepare materials, take attendance, and conduct daily program overviews.

Enforce After school Program behavior policies and safety procedures.

Create and distribute monthly newsletters, calendars, and flyers for events and resources. Outreach to partnerships and residents of the community also required.

Foster a friendly and welcoming environment for members and visitors.

Maintain accurate record keeping and document retention systems, and compile comprehensive reports.

Coordinate with partners like Toys for Tots to bring a joyful Christmas to the students in the Community.

Education:

At least 12 units of college credit from a two‑year accredited college or related experience in Early Childcare, Youth Development, or Community Services. (ROP certificate or similar accepted)

Preferably bilingual (Spanish).

Knowledge of MS Office (Word/Excel), Adobe, and Canva is highly recommended.

Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast‑paced environment.

Must pass Live Scan fingerprinting/background check.

Provide proof of a negative TB test result taken within the last year.

Available Monday Friday, 4 - 4.5 hours during After school hours (2:00 PM 6:30 PM).

Position requires on‑site work at the Learning Center.

Must be First Aid/CPR/AED certified (or obtain within 30 days) and maintain these certifications.

Ability to lift and carry heavy objects as needed for transportation, setup, and conducting activities.
