Advanced Full Stack Developer

Responsibilities

• lead the design and implementation of data systems with both web and database components
• analyze and maintain existing databases and web interfaces
• add new features to operational systems
• implement signal processing and other algorithms with efficient software
• test with real data
• provide applications to front-line customer facilities
• create effective user interfaces and data visualization tools
• stay up-to-date with the latest technologies, tools, and methodologies and experiment with new technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into RRC projects
• work across all functional areas: systems engineering, development, integration and test, deployment and O&M

• Degree (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD) in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
• Minimum 8 years' experience in full-stack application development
• Experience building scalable web applications using modern frontend and backend technologies
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs
• Strong understanding of relational databases and data modeling
• Proficient in modern software engineering practices for testability and readability
• Proficient in C++ and Python in LINUX environments
• JavaScript, CSS, HTML
• Demonstrated ability to design software systems to ensure they achieve functionality, performance, scalability, and maintainability requirements
• Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance
• US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED
• Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks including Vue, React, Angular (Preferred)
• Advanced SQL query optimization (Preferred)
• Database performance tuning (Preferred)
• Stored procedures, indexing, and schema design (Preferred)
• Dev Ops and Cloud computing Experience (Gitlab, CI/CD, CVE mitigations, Docker, Kubernetes, PIP) (Preferred)
• Agile development processes (Preferred)
• Ability to mentor other engineers and provide technical advice to project leaders (Preferred)
• Current TS/SCI clearance (Preferred)
