- Design, develop, code, and test complex technical solutions
- Investigate and resolve complex application and system technical problems and production issues through troubleshooting techniques
- Improve operations by conducting complex systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures
- Prepare and install complex solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming
- Follow the software development lifecycle
- Participate in design reviews and learn key system design principles
- Mentor junior engineers and may begin mentoring peer engineers
- Review teammates' code
- Identify, measure, monitor, and control risks associated with business activities in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures
- Develop, configure, test, and maintain solutions for the Complaints Pega application supporting complaint processes across Bank, Life, Property and Casualty, and Member Relation
- 4 years of software development experience specific to Pega Development
- 2 years of experience delivering technology solutions in all phases of the software systems and application development lifecycle
- CSSA Certification
- Basic understanding of one or more of Java, Go, SQL, or Pega
- Knowledge and understanding of troubleshooting applications and systems within production issues
- Ability to quickly understand applicable business acumen to provide appropriate Engineering solutions
- Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
- Basic understanding of cloud technologies and tools
- Must not require immigration support or visa sponsorship, including H-1B, TN, or STEM OPT Training Plans
Demonstrates expertise in Pega Development and the software development lifecycle, with a strong ability to troubleshoot complex application issues and mentor junior engineers. Proficient in analyzing systems and recommending operational improvements while adhering to risk and compliance standards.
