The Arizona Cardinals Training Camp – Fueling Station Attendant is sponsored by the Nutrition Services Department and will have working responsibilities in both Tempe and Glendale, AZ. This position provides an exceptional opportunity for committed, hardworking, and dedicated individuals that are seeking to gain a future career in Performance Nutrition, including first-hand experience in a National Football League (NFL) environment. The Training Camp– Fueling Station Attendant assists in the pre/post-practice fueling practices needed to aid players in fueling and recovery.
PrimaryJob Duties
- Nutrition-Focused
- Supports the dietitian(s) in providing nutrition resources: food safety, sanitation food quality, nutrient timing, recovery, and hydration strategies.
- Food Service Operations
- Works with Performance Nutrition, Fueling Station Associate and dietitians to provide performance fueling interventions, including but not limited to completing food service and smoothie station tasks, hydration stations, snack distribution, and daily operations.
- Assists in food services tasks including stocking, portioning, cleaning, and organizing.
- Assists in collecting menu feedback and accommodating special diets.
- Assists in distribution of pre-, mid-, and post-practice fueling stations.
- Inventory of goods through necessary vendors for athletic fueling stations, as needed.
- Other duties as assigned
- Education:
Currently enrolled in a dietetics/nutrition program or accepted to a Masters degree program in dietetics/nutrition (preferred). - Experience:
Experience in front of house food service operations, preferred. - Knowledge of batch tested supplements and organizations.
- Self-motivated, goal oriented and high energy; demonstrate a growth mindset and learning attitude.
- Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline driven environment.
- Position requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Understands the importance of teamwork and adherence to department guidelines.
- Current with all required certifications including a Serv Safe Food Handlers Certification.
- Respectfully handles confidential information in compliance with HIPAA guidelines and maintains a professional attitude around athletes and staff.
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends at both State Farm Stadium (Glendale, AZ) and the Dignity Health Training Center (Tempe, AZ); hours may vary depending on business needs.
- Must complete all pre-employment forms and successfully pass a background check.
