Road CDL Truck Driver

As a Class A CDL OTR Driver
, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery and pickup of goods at various locations across the country. The ideal Class A CDL OTR Driver adheres to American Furniture Warehouse’s quality expectations and safety standards.

• HOME WEEKLY with 34-48 hours of home time.
• Weekly payroll.
• Average yearly starting pay is between $80,000 to $90,000 per year
  .
• Pay starting at $.55-.57 CPM DOE.

• Most of our loads are drop and hook; 98% no-touch freight, Trips are pre-planned/scheduled.
• Paid orientation.
• Dogs are allowed.
• Detention and layover pay.

• Responsible for delivering our products in a safe, timely and accurate manner.
• Operate 53' dry vans requiring an appropriate CDL license.
• Use of electronic logging device, ELD.
• Report any vehicle problems and defects to the on-site truck maintenance department.
• Comply with all state, local and national Department of Transportation standards and regulations while maintaining a good driving record.
• Reinforce the American Furniture Warehouse high standards of customer service by consistently delivering orders on time and in a courteous and professional manner.

• Must have a CDL with at least one year of recent OTR experience with similar equipment.
• No major FMCSA violations.
• Clean MVR with no at-fault D.O.T reportable accidents within the last three years.
• Must have no restriction on CDL and be able to maintain a CDL.

Must be based / live within 100 miles of an American Furniture Warehouse DC.

Computer

Skills:

Basic computer skills required.

Certificates and Licenses: Class A CDL without restrictions.

Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED preferred.
