Job Title: Senior Staff Accountant
Location: Remote
Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000 / Annually + 10% Bonus
Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
As a Senior Accountant / Senior Staff Accountant
, you’ll play a hands-on role across AP, AR, general ledger, and month-end close. You’ll partner closely with Operations, Supply Chain, and Sales while helping implement systems and streamline processes to support continued growth.
This role reports to the Director of Finance and offers high visibility across the business.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable
- Process vendor invoices, purchase orders, and payment runs accurately and on time
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
- Handle freight, co-manufacturing, and marketing invoices tied to COGS and trade spend
- Maintain vendor records and ensure compliance with company policies
- Generate and process customer invoices, credit memos, and EDI billing
- Apply cash receipts and reconcile the AR subledger
- Track and resolve chargebacks, deductions, and short payments with retail partners
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to ensure billing accuracy
- Support month-end close through journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Assist with financial statements, P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting
- Maintain audit-ready documentation for quarterly reviews
- Help reduce close timelines through process improvements and automation
- Support implementation and optimization of accounting and inventory systems
- Document processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Assist with KPI tracking and ad-hoc financial analysis
- 3+ years of accounting experience
, preferably in CPG, eCommerce, or inventory-based businesses - Strong understanding of AP, AR, GL, accruals, and month-end close
- Experience with Quick Books Online required; inventory systems experience strongly preferred
- Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, IF statements, pivot tables)
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-growth environment
- Self-starter who takes ownership and adapts well to change
- U.S. work authorization required (no sponsorship available)
