ABOUTTHE JOB
We are seeking an experienced FAO Manager or Senior Manager to lead multiple client engagements, oversee back‑office finance and accounting operations, and serve as a trusted advisor to our clients. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage and develop a high‑performing team.
Qualifications:- 6-8+ years of experience in business taxation or audit working for a Big 4 or a large national, regional, or local accounting firm; or equivalent in law firms or industry
- Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Accounting or Tax
- U.S. CPA, preferred
- Must be able to support financial growth efforts
- Experience with the following:
Exempt Orgs, FQHCs, healthcare, small businesses, governments/JPAs
- Deliver monthly financial reporting in compliance with GAAP or GAGAS, ensuring issuance by the 15th of each month.
- Oversee all back‑office accounting functions, including AR, AP, general ledger review, and expense‑saving strategies.
- Build strong client relationships and maintain ongoing communication to support monthly operations and decision‑making.
- Serve as a trusted business advisor by providing insights, guidance, and innovative solutions.
- Ensure proper documentation, risk mitigation, and adherence to regulatory and professional standards.
- Supervise, mentor, and develop FAO team members while reviewing and approving their work.
- Manage engagement budgets, monitor staff progress, and ensure accurate time tracking and timely client invoicing.
- Stay current on accounting and tax developments, including new standards and regulatory updates.
- Assist in special projects as needed that fall within the scope of capabilities.
