OVERVIEW OF

THE ROLE /JOB

The Payroll Analyst supports the Payroll Manager in the oversight of multi-state payroll operations, client service, HRIS administration, reporting and compliance. The position provides analytical and operational support to ensure accurate payroll processing, effective controls and consistent support for our clients and internal teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform payroll audits, reconciliations and reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare and analyze payroll reports and identify discrepancies, trends and exceptions.
  • Research and resolve payroll issues, corrections and complex pay questions.
  • Support multi-state payroll compliance with federal, state and local requirements.
  • Assist with quarter-end and year-end payroll processes, audits and reconciliations.
  • Provide payroll support and subject-matter expertise to internal teams and client facilities.
  • Maintain payroll documentation, procedures and training materials.
  • Support HRIS administration, reporting and troubleshooting.
  • Identify and assist with payroll process and control improvements.
  • Provide cross-trained coverage for corporate Payroll operations.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes and wage and hour requirements.
  • Strong Excel, reporting and data-analysis skills.
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and payroll-driven deadlines.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • 3-5 years of payroll experience; multi-state payroll experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, or equivalent payroll experience.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Full-time hybrid corporate position with no direct reports or regular travel. The position handles confidential employee, payroll and financial information and requires a high level of discretion and professionalism.
