The Copy Coordinator is responsible for the proper acquisition of all commercial content for the On‑Air logs.
Responsibilities may change daily to fit the needs of the department.
- Work with Agencies and Sales departments on managing and maintaining the accuracy of all traffic commercial copy data.
- Apply commercial copy by adhering to Agency instructions and any specification schedules provided by Traffic Scheduling.
- Work closely with Sales/Marketing for all Sponsorship accommodations to ensure the accurate placement of spots and billboards.
- Maintain and file all commercial instructions for assigned accounts.
- Work closely with Inventory Manager and digital media providers to obtain commercial delivery status.
- Work closely with Sales to ensure advertiser accommodations are met.
- Communicate and resolve copy‑related issues with Sales and management to maximize inventory.
- Assist Traffic management with various departmental projects.
- Work closely with BS&P to ensure spots are approved to air.
- Must be computer literate.
- Must have clerical and data input experience.
- Working knowledge of various Traffic systems, Microsoft Word and Excel.
- 1–3 years’ experience in Television Traffic.
- Must be organized, detail oriented, and self‑motivated.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively within a team environment and across multiple business platforms.
- Must be capable of learning new system procedures/functions as they pertain to the needs of our business.
- Must be able to explain oneself both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to make decisions quickly and effectively under pressure.
- Must have a positive attitude and be willing to adapt in an industry environment where change is inevitable.
- Bachelor’s degree (preferable in Television/Radio Broadcasting or other related fields) or equivalent experience.
The hiring range for this position in Glendale, California is $49,000 to $59,800 per year based on a 40‑hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
A bonus and/or long‑term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
