Position SummaryThe Center for Genetic Epidemiology within the Department of Population and Public Health Sciences at USC invites applications for a full‑time clinical (non‑tenure track) assistant professor‑level position. The successful candidate is expected to bring or develop an externally funded research program in genetic or molecular epidemiology. Current research includes studies of genetic susceptibility, biomarkers, metabolomics and the microbiome related to health disparities for common chronic diseases, including cancer and metabolic disorders such as diabetes.
Qualifications- Demonstrated publication and funding record and leadership within the field of genetic population‑based research and molecular epidemiology commensurate with stage of career.
- Expertise in genomic analysis and initiation of population‑based resources for studies of the molecular and genetic basis of disease.
- Collegiality, resourcefulness and motivation.
