USC Gould School of Law is seeking a lecturer to teach Advanced Trial Advocacy:
Trial Competition Team. This two‑unit course will focus on developing foundational trial advocacy skills, with students learning through lecture, demonstration, and participation in simulated exercises. Students will also compete at various tournaments against other law school trial advocacy teams.
Teach the two‑unit Advanced Trial Advocacy:
Trial Competition Team course, including delivering lectures, demonstrating techniques, facilitating simulated exercises, and guiding students in preparation and participation in inter‑school competitions.
JD and experience in trial advocacy are required. In addition, the instructor must be local to the campus and available to teach on campus during the semester.
Appointment DetailsThis is an adjunct appointment for faculty teaching less than full‑time unct faculty typically teach one course per year but may teach one course per semester upon approval by the dean.
Training RequirementsAdjunct Lecturers must complete mandatory training requirements as a condition of employment. Required trainings include USC’s Harassment Prevention Training at hire and every two years thereafter, Integrity and Accountability Code Training at hire, Information Security training annually, and Workplace Violence Prevention Plan training annually.
SalaryThe base salary range for this position is $2,433.66 – $9,984.65 per semester.
