Armenian Language And Culture Teacher

This position teaches Armenian Language and Culture to students at the high school level, some of which are native speakers, and others who have been in the dual language immersion classes since Kindergarten. We require our teachers to teach Federal Armenian.

Credential

Required:

Applicants must hold a valid California Single Subject Teaching Credential in Armenian Language. English Learner Authorization:
Applicants must also hold a valid English Learner Authorization such as a CLAD, ELA1, ELAM, ELAS, ELAE, or similar authorization for designated English Language Development instruction or integrated instruction to English Learners. Glendale Unified is seeking dynamic educators who exhibit:
• Effective skills in working with English Learner (EL) students
• Strong pedagogical skills
• Breadth of experience in educational technology
• Instruction with a 21st Century perspective

• Proof of passing of (California Basic Educational Skills Test) CBEST or equivalent
• Unofficial Transcripts (copies of all college coursework credits) Applicants must attach all required documents as part of their online application. Once the District has tentatively offered employment, a candidate must submit evidence of freedom from tuberculosis, pre-employment physical exam (district-paid), and fingerprint clearance with the Department of Justice. Applicants will also be required to provide official transcripts from relevant coursework to determine salary placement.
