Position OverviewThe USC Sol Price School of Public Policy is seeking a working professional with expertise in nonprofit management, public administration, public affairs, or a related field to serve as an Adjunct Instructor of Local Governance in the Department of Public Policy and Management.
Qualifications- Master's degree or doctorate in public administration, public policy, public affairs, or a related field such as political science or sociology.
- Expertise in one or more of the following areas: local government, collaborative governance, city/county management, or related courses.
- Preferable prior teaching experience and excellent teaching evaluations.
- Deliver graduate‑level course content and instruction.
- Develop and submit a syllabus outlining course goals, schedule, and requirements.
- Schedule office hours and be accessible to students as appropriate.
- Grade student work and provide evaluations.
- Participate in course‑related meetings as directed by the Department Chair.
Hourly rate range: $29.06/hr – $38.89/hr.
