STEM Castle is a vibrant enrichment center with locations in Glendale and Encino, CA, where kids ages 4+ explore coding, robotics, science — and yes, the arts too. We offer both general and support‑enhanced programs, creating an inclusive and welcoming space for all learners. As we continue expanding our creative programs, we’re looking for a passionate Pottery and/or Art Instructor to join our team.

About

The Role

We’re looking for someone who can teach pottery classes, art classes, or a combination of both. This role is ideal for an instructor who enjoys working with kids and can create a fun, structured, and encouraging classroom experience for children ages 4 and up.

Responsibilities
  • Teach beginner and intermediate pottery and/or art classes to kids ages 4+
  • Lead projects such as hand‑building, clay sculpting, painting, drawing, crafts, mixed media, and creative art activities
  • Create a positive and welcoming environment where students feel confident and proud of their work
  • Prepare materials and classroom setup before class
  • Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and safety
  • Assist students with completing and displaying their projects
  • Contribute ideas for future art and creative workshop concepts
Requirements
  • Experience teaching pottery, art, crafts, or creative classes for children, teens, or adults
  • Skilled in pottery and/or visual arts (drawing, painting, mixed media, clay, etc.)
  • Friendly, patient, organized, and energetic
  • Comfortable managing small‑group classes independently
Nice to Have
  • Experience working with neurodiverse children
  • Background in art education, ceramics, or studio work
