Position Overview
The USC School of Architecture invites applicants for a part‑time faculty position in Structural Design and Engineering to lead a unique joint Civil Engineering and Building Science Design Studio for Fall 2026.
Responsibilities- Lead and teach an undergraduate technical design studio covering architectural and structural engineering aspects of building system design.
- Demonstrate knowledge of digital design, embodied‑carbon accounting, state‑of‑the‑art structural engineering, human‑factor considerations, controls, building standards, and sustainability performance criteria.
- Apply appropriate quantitative analysis techniques, including software‑based analysis tools, within the architectural and engineering design process.
- Utilize contemporary digital design software tools (preferred).
The core salary range for this position is $50.75 – $69.79 per hour for a part‑time, 35 % position.

Qualifications- A Master of Science degree or equivalent (required).
- Preference for applicants with a proven track record of research, related professional work, or prior teaching experience at recognized schools of architecture.
