Overview
The USC School of Architecture invites applicants for a part‑time faculty position in Structural Design and Engineering to lead a unique joint Civil Engineering and Building Science Design Studio for Spring 2027.
ResponsibilitiesCandidates must demonstrate the ability to teach an upper‑level undergraduate capstone design studio integrating architectural, structural, and civil engineering design. The course will include evaluation, design, and analysis of building loads, including gravity, wind, and seismic load. Candidates must demonstrate an understanding of the state of the art of structural engineering as well as current code requirements, building systems, controls, building standards, and sustainability performance criteria.
QualificationsQualifications: A Master of Science degree, or equivalent, and a S.E. and/or P.E. license is required. Preference is given to candidates with a proven track record of professional work.
SalaryThe core salary range for this position is $50.75 - $69.79 per hour. This is a part‑time, 35% position.
