Rockwork Engineering is responsible for the structural engineering, coordination, and technical integration of the rockwork elements of themed attractions. You will report into the Manager, Rockwork Engineering. This is a Project Hire position with no guarantee of permanent placement.

• Manage the design and engineering of complex rockwork structures.
• Coordinate rockwork design documents, models, specifications, and basis of design with architects, structural, mechanical, electrical, civil, landscape, show, ride, creative disciplines, and rockwork contractors in consideration of programmatic requirements.
• Lead technical coordination of rockwork design and construction, including facilitating meetings and maintaining an issues resolution log or similar document.
• Organize and develop project design criteria, engineering work plans, rockwork schedules, meetings, and work plans for projects of varying complexity.
• Facilitate quality assurance and control of design documentation and field construction.
• Direct project team members on coordination and integration activities related to the technical scope of work, including external architecture and engineering consultants.
• Participate in regularly scheduled project meetings with project team, consultants, and contractors.
• Provide project teams with rockwork design and construction details, lessons learned, and standards information to inform specifications.
• Monitor work progress and ensure that technical quality, interdisciplinary coordination, and production requirements are met.
• Answer construction bid period questions and respond to and resolve field issues and questions.
• Provide technical direction to in‑house engineers and designers, and to outside consultants in the production of construction contract documents.
• May lead a small team of rockwork engineers and designers in the production of construction documents for multiple attractions of medium complexity through all phases of design.

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited engineering school.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in civil, structural, or project engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years managing a small team of structural or rockwork engineers and designers in the production of contract documents for construction.
• Working knowledge of structural engineering, current technologies and codes, with a concentration in steel and concrete structures.
• Knowledge of current industry practices, construction methods, materials, codes, and the preparation and use of contract documents in all phases of design and construction.
• Experience with analytical software for structural engineering design.
• Construction phase experience, including submittal and shop drawing review process and on‑site field inspections.

• Experience with structural design programs such as SAP
  2000, ETABS, RISA.
• Proven experience with 3D modeling software:
  Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper, Navisworks, BIM
  360.
• Engineer or Architect in Training certification.
• Professional Engineer registration in California or Florida (desirable).
• Progression toward professional licensure.
• Advanced degree in structural engineering (preferred).
