MEP Electrical Designer AutoCAD or Revit

S Y Lee Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced MEP Electrical Designer to support the design and production of construction documents for commercial, educational, municipal, healthcare, private, and public-sector projects.

The ideal candidate has experience with electrical building systems
, is proficient in AutoCAD and/or Revit
, and can produce accurate, well-coordinated construction documents while working closely with our engineering and project management teams.

• Prepare electrical construction drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit
  .
• Develop electrical plans, details, schedules, single-line diagrams, equipment layouts, and related construction documents.
• Support production of power, lighting, lighting controls, fire alarm, emergency power, low-voltage systems, and other electrical building system drawings
  .
• Assist with electrical system design under the direction of engineers and project managers.
• Prepare and update drawings throughout various phases of design and construction documentation.
• Coordinate drawings with architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and other design disciplines.
• Incorporate engineering markups, plan-check comments, and client comments into construction documents.
• Review drawings for accuracy, coordination, and completeness.
• Maintain company drafting/BIM standards and meet project schedules and deadlines.

• 3+ years of MEP electrical drafting/design experience preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit required.
• Experience with electrical building systems preferred.
• Experience preparing construction documents for commercial, institutional, or similar building projects preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
• Ability to understand and implement engineering markups and design direction.
