AR Specialist; E-Commerce

We are excited to offer an opportunity for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing incoming payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts.

• Reconcile daily e-commerce sales transactions across online platforms, payment gateways, and bank deposits to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor and reconcile payments from third-party processors such as credit card gateways, digital wallets, and buy-now-pay-later providers.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to e-commerce orders, chargebacks, refunds, partial payments, and failed transactions.
• Process and track customer refunds, credits, and adjustments for online orders in accordance with company policies.
• Partner with the E-commerce and Customer Service teams to resolve billing inquiries related to online purchases, returns, and payment disputes.
• Ensure proper application of taxes, shipping charges, discounts, and promotional credits for e-commerce transactions.
• Maintain accurate records of e-commerce receivables, settlements, and transaction fees.
• Assist with month-end close activities related to e-commerce revenue recognition and reconciliation.
• Support fraud review and chargeback documentation by gathering transaction records and payment evidence when needed.
• Experience supporting accounts receivable for e-commerce or direct-to-consumer (DTC) businesses.
• Familiarity with online payment processors, chargebacks, and refund workflows.
• Exposure to e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, Woo Commerce) a plus.
• Understanding of order-to-cash workflows in a high-volume transaction environment.

• Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, including at least 2 years in Accounts Receivable.
• Solid understanding of accounts receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, cash application, and reconciliations.
• Experience supporting high-volume transactions, preferably in an e-commerce or direct-to-consumer (DTC) environment.
• Familiarity with online payment methods such as credit cards, digital wallets, and third-party payment processors.
• Working knowledge of chargebacks, refunds, credits, and payment disputes related to online sales.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including double-entry bookkeeping.
• Experience with accounting software and financial tools;
  Sage 100 experience is a plus.
• Exposure to e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, Woo Commerce) is a plus.
• Knowledge of Salesforce or CRM systems is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to analyze discrepancies and resolve issues across systems and departments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with E-commerce, Customer Service, and Finance teams.

The pay range for this role is:

70,000 - 85,000 USD per year (Glendale, CA)
